Your synced collection

Your music files and metadata are synced across all your devices. This means if you make an edit or change to your metadata, it will be reflected everywhere.

There are real-time visual indicators to show you the sync status of your collection:

Synced item When an item has been synced to the cloud and it is also available locally on this device, a checkmark icon ✔︎ will be displayed next to it.

Remote Item When something exists in the cloud but not on your computer, you will see a small cloud icon ☁️ near the item indicating it is remote.

Unsynced Item An item that has no icon has not yet been synced, and it is available locally on the current device.

Syncing with Multiple Computers

Once you’ve synced your music collection on one computer, you have the option to pull down the items from your Audio Archive on another computer. This is helpful if you have multiple computers in your household, or if you lost access to your original computer and music files.

To sync on an additional computer:

  1. Install Voltra and login
  2. If you have no music on this computer, add an empty folder as the main directory. Otherwise, import as usual
  3. Turn sync ON
  4. Items will begin to be fetched and pulled down

Once it is complete, you will be able to stream any song in your collection from the cloud on this new computer. The items you pull down will be remote until they are downloaded to the new computer.

To download a remote item:

  1. Click on the Context Menu for the item
  2. Select Download
  3. The item will be downloaded to your computer (the cloud icon will no longer be showing)

You can now play this file locally from your computer.
